God Is Smarter

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

He knows!

A few years ago, my wife and I were believing God for our first child after being married for over 7 years. Just like every married couple, we waited in anticipation of the good news of conception while months and years past by. I remember one of my favourite prayers 'Heavenly Father, I know that you love and care about us much more than we love and care about ourselves'. This indeed kept me far away from anxiety, depression and uncertainty until our victory, knowing that our Heavenly Father holds it all together.

You see, God knows what you are going through right now child of God and he cares about you. God really cares about you. Our passage today Jeremiah 29:11 is actually God speaking to you. He says 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end'. God is saying, these are my thoughts and desires towards you. This is what I am thinking of! If only you can see through My eyes. God is saying that the situation will end in peace. In Gods' mind, the situation will end in peace and in your favour - expected end. Wow! 'Thoughts of Peace'. If only we can identify with this. All is peace in the mind of the Father. Oh yes, it is looking rough and tough at the moment! You have endlessly knocked on that door! You have waited for that 'phone call'. You have waited for that dream job! God is simply saying, I have thoughts of peace towards it. If only we can identify with the mind of our Heavenly Father, then we will be far away from all anxiety, depression and uncertainty.

Consider Joseph's statement in Genesis 41:16 'And Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, It is not in me: God shall give Pharaoh an answer of peace'. God will give you an answer of peace. Wow! It is that simple, because that is what is already in His thoughts for you as we read from Jeremiah 29:11. The answer to the situation is peace. Romans 8:28 throws further light on this 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose'. Our beloved brother Paul is saying WE KNOW! We are not guessing! We are not in a dilemma nor are we double minded in uncertainty- we know.! But what exactly do we know? 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God....' That is, it is settled in our mind that all things will work out for us, that our answer will be peace. We have identified with our Heavenly Father's thoughts and WE KNOW!

God knows about you and any situation you may find yourself! Can you identify with the mind, thoughts and intents of our Heavenly Father today? It may look bleak. The situation may not make sense at all. Your road or path may appear so rough and tough. Remember God is thinking about you. Oh yes you! And His thought is to give you peace.
